Certara’s Simcyp team is a global organisation focussed on using the Simcyp physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) platform to influence decision-making on drug development programs from discovery to regulatory filing. Our PBPK consultants work with hundreds of clients to inform human PK prediction, drug-drug interaction assessment, special population predictions and biopharmaceutics strategy.

PBPK Consultant or Associate Consultant

The role involves contributing to and/or leading consultancy projects with clients in the Pharmaceutical Industry to develop PBPK models for particular projects of interest. Apply PBPK models in support of a number of applications including but not limited to the following:

  • DDI liability prediction
  • Food effect prediction
  • PK prediction in special populations
  • Biopharmaceutics/bioequivalence prediction
  • Large molecule PK prediction.

You will be expected to contribute to consultancy projects with supervision and will need to keep abreast of the latest scientific development in the area of PBPK and IVIVE to enable effective communication with colleagues, clients and the wider scientific community.

Senior Director of PBPK Consultancy

The role involves leading consultancy projects with clients in the Pharmaceutical Industry to develop PBPK models for particular projects of interest from DDI liability prediction to PK prediction in special populations as well as large molecule PK prediction.

This is an exciting opportunity where you will grow and mentor the PBPK consultancy group. You will have a high profile in the scientific community – you will continue to publish your work, give talks at scientific meetings and engage in scientific debate with clients.

You will engage with potential and existing clients on a regular basis and oversee work performed by others in your team, including reviewing modelling work, crafting regulatory responses, and developing modelling and simulation plans.

Associate or Senior Principal Scientist

In this role, you will take part in development of mechanistic physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) or PK/PD models models concerning safety and efficacy of small and large molecules for various tissues and organs. You will undertake novel research projects to further expand the capabilities of the Simcyp Simulator, which requires attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with software developers.

In addition, you will be expected to provide ongoing customer support and education and training related to the use of the Simulators. We offer a unique and exciting mix of academic and commercial environments, which encourage regular attendance at scientific meetings.

Associate or Senior Principal Scientist
Statistician Senior/Associate Principal Scientist

Statistician Senior/Associate Principal Scientist

In this role, you will take a leading role in further development of statistical methods and software applicable to mechanistic models concerning safety and efficacy of small and large molecules drugs. You should have in-depth knowledge of inference methods applicable to complex models, including Bayesian methods. Working knowledge of population pharmacokinetic (multi-level) modelling and pharmacometrics would be appreciated. Hands-on experience with mechanistic physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) or PK/PD models would also be advantageous.
